When a student has a birthday, I bought this LOUD hat for them to wear as we sing the birthday song to them. This day, we sang to Maarten, and I asked the kids to gather around for a group shot. I teach them Latin American History 3 days each week, and they are a neat group of kids! The reason they're mostly in yellow and blue is they were having p.e. right after my class and were ready for it...
Pictured from back are Joan (from S. Korea), Mukisa (Uganda). Middle row are Elisabeth (Philippines/USA), Joy (Uganda), Ella (Philippines), Nara and Amy (both S. Korea). Front row are Musa (Uganda), Emmanuel (Ethiopia), Maarten (Holland), Brennan (Canada) and Jesse (Uganda). Not pictured but in 6th grade are also Khalila (returning student from Canada/USA/Uganda) and Wassim (new student from Uganda). They had not arrived at HIS yet, or I'd have all the 6th grade in the photo. I'll be sure to get a WHOLE group shot soon...
